We had ordered a case of each of the Kenyan Ndaroini and Gechathaini last week. We dutifully put them on the shelves with the understanding that the high price points for each would probably mean they might still be sitting there by the time this week's new coffees came in.
It happened last year when the Ndaroini was only $15.95/bag. We only sold half of what we ordered. Now that the Ndaroini costs even more ($17.95), we couldn't help but wonder whether customers would share our enthusiasm beyond a single cup.
And as of Monday, when we placed this week's order, we hadn't sold a single bag. So we didn't order any more.
But over the weekend, we had sold a number of cups brewed on our Abids. And everyone loved the coffee. Enough to return for more.
Fast forward to today. We've got three bags left - one of the Gechathaini and two Ndaroini.
These are both"classic" and sophisticated coffees - extremely well balanced and fully rounded in the cup - enjoyable for breakfast, after dinner or anytime in between.
Better get 'em while they're still here.
We'll order more next week.
