From today's Post-Gazette: Hot chocolate: Savor the best in the 'Burgh and the 'burbs.
In addition to our Bicerin, featured drinks include an Argentinian chocolate from Tango Cafe, the Cocoa Service from the Inn at Negley, the drinking chocolate at Mon Aimee, and hot chocolates from Crepes Parisiennes and Nicholas Coffee Roasters.
We didn't get into the details with China, but we want to point out that all our chocolate drinks are made from Ghana's Omanhene Chocolate, which uses only cocoa beans produced from family farms in Ghana. There are no beans harvested with slave labor and no worrisome ingredients.
While the bicerin is more an adult dessert beverage, we'd like to remind everyone that if you're ordering a standard hot cocoa for a child, ask the barista to make it a little cooler so your toddler doesn't have to wait to enjoy it. Because we all know kids don't like waiting for anything.
Personally, the best part of the P-G article is a photo that almost accomplishes the impossible: making me look reasonably svelte.
Rich - Congrats!!! Not only do you look svelte you look like a highly trained professional!
